If you are not aware of this, you should be. After the huge Equifax hack, you should know that the SEC wants to control a database with every investor's social security number, birth date, address, investment account numbers and daily trading history. Everybody's. This is called the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) and the first stage of implementation is scheduled for November. This really shouldn't happen. Read more about it here.
